Hi, I’m Lauren!
Known addiction and trauma expert in the Utah therapy community
It can be hard to take the first steps in your healing journey…
I love working with clients who are ready to see a transformation in their lives- whether that be in their relationships, mindset, or behaviors! Choosing therapy for addiction or substance use is a courageous step—especially when shame, trauma, or emotional pain are part of your story. I work with teens, adults, and couples who feel stuck in cycles with alcohol, drugs, or other addictive behaviors and are ready for meaningful change. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and grounded in safety. Many addictive behaviors begin as ways to cope with overwhelming emotions or past experiences. Together, we’ll move at your pace to understand the roots of the struggle, strengthen emotional regulation, and build healthier coping tools that support lasting recovery.
You have come to the right place.
using modalities such as Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I am also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help those with complex trauma or those who are just looking to help relieve negative sensations in their bodies.
With a bachelor’s in Psychology, a master’s in Social Work, and my LCSW, I bring a strong clinical foundation and a diverse range of therapeutic approaches to my work. I’ve spent the last three years in a group private practice, and alongside that, I worked for nearly two years in a residential and outpatient treatment center supporting individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges.
Through these experiences, I’ve found that I’m especially passionate about and effective in helping individuals struggling with addiction. Additionally, I have experience helping clients with CPTSD/PTSD, anxiety, and depression. My goal is always to meet clients with compassion, clarity (and some spunk with my personality) and evidence-based care that supports meaningful change.
Growing up and spending most of my life in the suburbs of New York City has given me a deep appreciation for the unique experiences and needs of diverse individuals and communities. I want you to have a great relationship with therapy, so I strive to make the process easy and attainable so you can feel real change in yourself and in your life.

When I’m not working…
You’ll find me spending time with loved ones, being in the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with my dog (his name is Marshall, named after the rapper, Eminem). I love to spend my time skiing and snowboarding in the winter, along with staying in the mountains during the summer.
I keep amazing people around me who uplift me and support me so I can show up well for my clients during the week. I care deeply about gaining as much knowledge as I can to do better at this work, so I often attend trainings or listen to podcasts in my free time.
